Born in Brooklynn, New York on January 17 1899 Alphonse Gabriel Capone to his parents Gabriele and Teresina Capone, who were immigrants from Italy.

Capone had nine siblings, quite a large family, they were:

Raffaele                       Matthew

Salvatore "Frank"         Rose

John                            Mafalda

Capone was a very smart and intelligent child growing up. He was a natural leader, but was often discriminated against because of his Irish heritage. The only problem was that he was a trouble maker. He was in many youth gangs as a child such as the Junior Forty Thieves and the Bowery Boys. His Criminal Activity got him his great success.

Later he went to larger gangs and more serious crimes. He was expelled from school at the age of 14 for hitting his female teacher in the face after an argument in the class. Al got his famous nickname "scarface" after insulting a woman at a nightclub whos brother later came and sliced his face open leaving massive scars across his cheek. 

Capone married at an early age of 19. After dropping out of high school at the age of 15. He got married on December 30, 1918 to Mae Josephine Coughlin one month after their first son Albert Francis "Sonny" Capone was born.
